Barring another hurricane roaring up the eastern seaboard next week, I'll be driving the Gray Wolf to the R Gruppe 'Rally in the Valley' in Staunton Virginia. A few of the usual Midwest R Gruppe suspects will join me for the drive out. In fact, the drive out and back will be - as usual for the Midwest boyz - the highlights of this event. The 'stage notes' are easy - get on historic (built in 1928) US Route 250 that starts in Sandusky Ohio and follow it all the way to Staunton, some 450 miles through the mountains of eastern Ohio, West Virginia and Virginia. This is one of the most spectacular driving roads in the US.
