LSPR 'Car of the Weekend'

At every rally event, there is a car that stands out from the pack. Sometimes it's a rally car. Usually it's not. Presented here is the Ford Probe Langheck:

I was lucky to catch up with the owner at a gas stop in L'Anse between stages.  He seemed to be an engineering student at my alma mater Michigan Tech and was quite serious about the car.  The langheck increased MPG significantly (up to 40MPG on the highway) and was built of aluminum framing, old political yard signs, and zipties ... all finished off in duct tape and military paint.

For the uninitiated, 1 Parsec = 3.26 million light-years ....

Interestingly, I was unable to get a clear photo when the vehicle was moving - paranormal magnetic field I'm sure.
